On sight, this wine presents a bright ruby red color, reflecting the vitality of this exceptional vintage. On the nose, aromas of juicy red fruits such as raspberry and redcurrant mingle with delicate floral notes. It is an olfactory walk through the varied terroirs of the Beaujolais villages.
On the palate, the velvety texture is balanced by soft tannins, creating a seductive taste harmony. The 2020 vintage of Mee Godard Beaujolais Villages offers an ever-evolving wine experience, with a fresh, invigorating finish that reveals the unique personality of each village.
It is a wine that embodies Mee Godard's passion for the authentic expression of the Beaujolais terroir, a cuvée that evolves gracefully with each tasting.
It's almost a relief to taste a Godard that doesn't search my mind, body and soul when I taste it! Even so, more density, concentration and reverberation than the average BV. I'm not sure Godard does average... Candied violets, kohl, saskatoon and fruit that seems to blow on purple-velvet trumpets (surely there is such a thing?). Fresh and long and silky. As I said, far from average.
The Mee Godard Beaujolais Villages cuvée is a red wine that embodies the quintessence of the Beaujolais terroir. Mainly made from the Gamay grape variety, this wine seduces with its bright ruby red color and its delicate fruity and floral aromas. On the palate, it offers beautiful freshness, supple tannins and a lively finish, which makes it a perfectly balanced and accessible wine.
